Exercises to Ensure You Have a Hot Body for Prom

You obviously want to look your best on prom night.

After all the end of year eating and relaxing you could probably do with losing a few pounds before Prom.

With adequate preparation and the right methods it is entirely possible to shed that extra weight and tone those muscles before the big day.

The sooner you start the better.

Here are a few things you can begin to do right now to get that toned body come prom night.

Let’s look at them:

Take up Pilates

Pilates is one of the most effective ways to lose weight.

This is because the work out is designed to build strength and endurance while at the same time improving coordination and flexibility.

It is also one of those workouts that can reduce the chance of injury thereby making it the perfect one to choose if you are new to fitness training.

Unlike other workouts that require you to learn a lot of different moves, Pilates focuses on few exercises but precise repetition.

There is also no need to worry about equipment as Pilates primarily uses your own body weight as resistance.

Weight Training for Strength Conditioning

Pilates will help you burn calories and hence lose a few pounds but strength training will help you build muscle and tone your body.

For this you may need some equipment such as dumbbells although you could also use your own body weight as resistance.

In order to do this correctly, it is important to get some help.

You can sign up at your local gym or if you can afford it get a personal trainer.

Yoga is great for strength conditioning.

This is because Yoga generally uses your own body weight as resistance.

You can do a little research to find Yoga poses for beginners or join a Yoga class in your area.

Get Rid of Cellulite

Most girls suffer from the debilitating effects of cellulite and saying that cellulite is unattractive is an understatement.

If this is the primary reason why you want to lose a few pounds before prom, you need to find exercises that are primarily geared towards getting rid of cellulite.

Regardless of whether the cellulite is on your belly, legs, arms or thighs daily cardio exercises combined with the right strength training can help with eliminating cellulite.

It is however important to note that a change in diet is a requirement if you are going to diminish cellulite.

It is even more important that you avoid advertisements that promise a quick fix for your cellulite problems.

Most of them don’t work and even have a number of side-effects you may not be ready to deal with.

Include Aerobic exercises

One of the best ways to burn extra calories is to have some kind of aerobic exercise.

You can join your local gym and sign up for an aerobics class or a Zumba class.

If that is not an option for you simply jumping rope will work.

It is a relatively inexpensive way to get your aerobic exercise not to mention that it can be quite fun.

Start with a basic jump and then increase the intensity as you go along.

To make it interesting, you can ask your friends to do it with you.

You can even designate a particular time of day to do it like say in the morning before school or evenings.

As much as all the ideas described above are great ways to lose weight and get a toned body, none of them will work unless paired with healthy eating habits.

For instance, it is very important that you have a healthy breakfast before the start of each day.

It is easy to skip breakfast in an attempt to reduce calorie intake but doing this will only cause more harm than good.

Skipping meals most especially skipping breakfast will slow down your metabolism as your body works to conserve energy.

This will in the end hamper your efforts to lose any weight.

It is therefore important to ensure that your daily nutritional requirements are met on a daily basis so that you lose weight safely and remain healthy.

Including carbohydrates such as whole grains and cereal in your breakfast as well as healthy fats and proteins will help you stay healthy and give you the energy you need to workout.
